Bernardsville Kitchen

This kitchen didn’t require a complete overhaul—just a few thoughtful upgrades to enhance its existing charm and functionality in keeping with the rest of the home we designed. With a light touch and a focus on refined details, we elevated the overall design while preserving its modern, industrial character.

Project Overview:

We began by updating the cabinet hardware, selecting sleek handles in a rich charcoal finish accented with gold, instantly adding a sophisticated edge to the space. To bring drama and balance, we introduced oversized dome-shaped pendant lights in a polished chrome finish, which beautifully reflect light and pair effortlessly with the orb candelabra chandelier positioned above the dining table. Together, these lighting elements create a warm and inviting ambiance with a hint of understated glamour.

The dining table, with its clean lines and white-washed wood grain, anchors the room with its natural texture and timeless appeal. Contemporary scoop-back accent chairs in an ivory textured performance fabric add comfort, elegance, and easy maintenance—ideal for everyday living. At the island, low-back counter stools offer the perfect perch for a relaxed morning coffee or casual gathering.

To soften the room and introduce a layer of warmth, we installed unassuming window treatments in an off-white linen featuring a delicate beige and gray floral pattern. These draperies frame the windows and door beautifully, lending an airy, tailored finish that completes this effortlessly elevated kitchen and dining space.
